Since the release of this product from SportsStuff.com, numerous injuries and deaths have resulted from use of the product. SportsStuff.com has denied any defects in the product, but has pulled the item from the market in compliance with the CPSC (U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission).
The Wego Kite Tubes were recalled and officially pulled from the market on July 12, 2006. SportsStuff voluntarily recalled approximately 19,000 Wego Kite Tubes.
