ROBERT J. BELLINSON
Rob was an honors student at Ithaca College, where he graduated in 1986. After graduating from Brooklyn Law School in 1989 he was admitted to practice in 1990. Rob was a former Democratic candidate in New York City's Silk Stocking District on the Upper East Side in two campaigns for the New York State Senate. He almost unseated long time Senator Roy Goodman, although he was vastly outspent by the Republican incumbent, in the closest challenge Goodman faced in decades. Rob then entered private practice where he has tried to verdict scores of cases and has successfully recovered in excess of $10 million for his clients.
Rob is currently admitted to practice in all Courts in New York State, the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the New York County Lawyers Association and the American Trial Lawyers Association. He has also previously served on his local Community Board, and as a Judicial Delegate in Manhattan. Away from the Courthouse, Rob was a member of the gold medal winning U.S. Men's softball team during the 1999 Pan American Maccabi Games.Rob is married to Robyn, a psychotherapist in private practice. They have two daughters and live in Manhattan.
