Bill Wingate celebrated his 75th birthday on May 23, 2002. He has been practicing law for the past 52 years, since graduating in 1949 from Brooklyn Law School as valedictorian of his class. Bill is 75 years “young” and is still actively practicing. He is a Director Emeritus of the NYS Trial Lawyers Association. He recently found a new venue to demonstrate his terrific skills of persuasion, i.e., mediation. Alternative dispute resolution is an increasingly utilized method for settling cases and Bill has achieved considerable success in this arena.

To celebrate Bill’s birthday, we had a gala birthday party on May 22, 2002 at Cibo, an elegant Manhattan restaurant, with entertainment by the Stan Rubin Orchestra. Bill was roasted and toasted by former colleagues, friends and judges. Bill is not retiring, since he still loves practicing law.
