Our client, a woman in her 60's, underwent aneurysm clipping surgery and at the end of the procedure, suffered cardiac arrest and hypoxic insult. We claimed negligent administration of anesthesia and premature extubation during aneurysm surgery. We argued that our client was administered an excessive amount of neostigmine, a reversal agent which causes respiratory depression. As a result, Plaintiff was hospitalized for a prolonged period of time and was required to undergo extensive rehabilitation. We were able to settle prior to the scheduled court date.
