NY SUV Accident - $235,000 Recovery

$235,000 recovery obtained for 13 year old high school student injured in multi vehicle collision.

WRS associate Joseph Stoduto was able to obtain a settlement of $235,000 on behalf of a 13 year old girl from Long Island. The client was a back seat passenger in an SUV which was rear ended while driving in traffic on Interstate 87 in Yonkers. Long after both of the involved vehicles pulled over and waited for police assistance, a third vehicle came upon the scene of the initial accident, and slammed into the vehicle in which our client was riding as it was stopped in the shoulder, causing a second accident. We were able to prove that all three of the drivers who were operating the vehicles involved in the accident shared in the fault for these accidents. We were further able to prove that as a result of the accident our client sustained an aggravation and exacerbation of her pre existing Lupus disease, resulting in a downward spiral of her condition. The case then proceeded to trial. Joseph was able to negotiate a settlement in the amount of $235,000 for our client's past and future pain and suffering on the eve of trial.
