After serving in the Navy in World War II, Bill had the honor of being class valedictorian when he graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 1949. He has practiced personal injury law since his admission to the New York State Bar in January of 1950, and has achieved great success as a trial lawyer. He has argued in various Appellate Divisions and in the New York State Court of Appeals.

He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, and is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and various Bar Associations. Bill has always been a leading member in various community, religious and philanthropic organizations. For instance, he has served as the President and Board Member of his Cooperative Corporation for years and President of his Synagogue in New York City. Bill has also proudly served for many years as a Trustee and as Deputy Mayor of The Village of Ocean Beach in Fire Island, New York. He has been honored by unions, religious and community organizations for his philanthropic activities, including State of Israel Bonds, U.J.A. Federation Lawyers Division, and The Village Temple in Greenwich Village, New York.

He believes that his legal skills have played an important part in contributing to the many non-legal positions he has held in his life.

Bill is delighted that Phil and Cliff joined him as partners in 1990 and looks forward to continuing the tradition of successful personal injury representation into the 21st Century.

He is a widower and has three daughters.
